Terms of service

What the software does, what it does not do, and who is responsible for a signed report.

Where your data goes

Your studies, reports and patient records are stored in India, in Mumbai. Dictation goes to a speech recogniser running inside India.

The AI does not. Drafting from images, structuring dictation and checking the report before you sign are currently done by a model running outside India, in the United States, so a study’s images and its report text are sent there to be processed. We are moving this to a model inside India and we have no date for it, so we are not giving you one.

The patient is not what crosses. Names, patient IDs, accession numbers and the referring doctor are stored separately and are never part of a model request.

You can decline AI assistance on any study and dictate or type the report yourself, in which case nothing is sent anywhere. The consent you accept at sign-up says all of this, and the privacy notice sets it out in full.

The short version

ScanVoxel drafts and checks radiology reports. A radiologist reviews and signs every one of them. Nothing is ever issued on its own.

This page is a plain summary of the terms you are agreeing to. The full agreement is drafted and with a lawyer; we are not publishing it as settled until that review is done.

What the software does

It reads the images you upload, or listens to what you dictate, and proposes wording in your own template. It checks that wording against itself for contradictions, laterality slips and omissions. It renders a PDF on your letterhead carrying your name, your qualification and your medical council registration number.

What it returns is a draft. It has no standing until you sign it, and signing it makes it yours.

What it does not do

  • It does not issue a report. There is no path through this product that produces a signed report without a registered radiologist signing it.
  • It does not replace your reading. A draft from a model is a starting point, and on some studies it will be wrong.
  • It does not determine fetal sex, and obstetric ultrasound never reaches an imaging model.

Approvals, and what we do not claim

We hold no CDSCO licence, registration, approval or clearance for this service, and we do not claim one. If anyone tells you we are "CDSCO approved", that is false.

We make no statement here about how the service is or should be classified under the Medical Devices Rules 2017 or any other regime. What it does is above; who is responsible for a signed report is you.

You must not describe it to patients, referring clinicians, accreditation bodies or tender authorities as able to report a study without a radiologist, or as holding an approval it does not hold.

Your account

The trial is 7 days and 25 studies, with no card. After that we invoice you; there is no automatic charge and nothing to cancel.

You are responsible for what the people using your account do with it, and for keeping the credentials that print on your reports accurate.
